How to Get Your SASSA Payment Date If Your Status is Approved But No Payment Date is Issued?

Step 1: Check Your Application Status Again
Go to the official SASSA SRD website.
Enter your ID number and phone number.
Check if the status still says “approved” with no payment date.

Step 2: Wait for a Few Days
After approval, SASSA takes time to assign a payment date.
Wait at least 7 working days.
Keep checking the status daily.

Step 3: Confirm Your Bank or Payment Details
Log in to your SRD account.
Check if your banking or cellphone details are correct.
Wrong details can delay payment.

Step 4: Do Not Apply Again
If your status is approved, do not submit a new application.
This can delay your current payment even more.

Step 5: Call SASSA Helpline
If you still don’t get a date after 7–10 days, call 0800 60 10 11.
Talk to an agent and explain your problem.

Step 6: Visit SASSA Office (If Needed)
If the helpline doesn’t help, visit your nearest SASSA office.
Ask them to check your payment date status.

SASSA Grant Payment Dates Issues and Solutions

Issue: Incorrect Banking or Mobile Details
Solution:
Log in to your SRD account and update your payment method. Make sure the bank account is in your name. After updating, wait a few days for SASSA to verify and issue a payment date.

Issue: Payment Delayed After Date Is Issued
Solution:
Check your bank balance or Post Office account. Sometimes banks take 2–3 working days to process. If the payment still doesn’t arrive, contact your bank or SASSA directly.

Issue: System Shows “Pending” for a Long Time
Solution:
If your status stays “pending” for more than 2 weeks, it may be under review. Contact SASSA to confirm if extra documents are needed or if there is a problem.

Issue: Payment Sent to Closed or Wrong Account
Solution:
Update your bank details immediately on the SASSA portal. Then call SASSA to report the issue. They will reverse the payment and send it to your new account after verification.
